Where Were You?
Where were you when the skies came down
When the lights went out
When we lost hope and traded it for fear
Where were you when their cries went up
When our tears dried out
When our faith tried to walk out the door
Did you feel guilty you were alive
Were you ashamed to eat
Did your world fall apart
Where were you when we lost ourselves
When we hurt ourselves
When everything we were holding on to melted away
Did you wonder about their final thoughts
Pray about their final moments
Refuse to put up a black square
Afraid to say the words lest you made them final
Where were you when the skies fell down
Nice very inspirational...God Bless their souls..
ReplyDeleteNice tribute, very nice. May their souls rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteI just amazes me when people can write such nice flow of wordings and eventually captivates the readers. This poem had such effect on me.
